Parking Issue I (17/2/05)Aaaaah, Pony & Parking. The two Ps of perplexity.
A month or so ago I told Pony about how lucky I was going to be with living and working in Leederville. It was going to be GREAT. Pony asked me about my parking situation, and it came to be agreed that there would be no issue with him parking in my bay from March onwards, as that is when the office gets relocated.
Last week, we had a card night. We talked about many things but one of them was the parking situation, and how it was still agreed that Pony could park in my space from March onwards. Pony says "but I'll almost be in Brisbane by then!". So the comprehension sank down at least that far.
I wake up this morning feeling very good about life in general. The weather's cooler, the work day has great promise of excitement and challenge, and I was generally feeling good about things. I lock my house up, walk out the door, and find my car parked in my the Pony's steed. The fucker had parked me in. OK, I think to myself. He magically remembers that he can park in my space, but forgets that there's a delay. He parks in my space for the first time ever, without any precedent at all, and he doesn't send me an SMS or even knock on my fscking door. All these Pony-isms are usual fare.
But then he doesn't answer his phone. For 15 minutes. I send him a nice SMS with lots of four-letter words, and he finally responds. It only took me 20 minutes of my morning. Shame about that meeting I missed.
Parking issue II (21/2/2005)
Dear Jesus, he did it again.5:30pm on a Friday. There's a car in my driveway, nobody was expecting
him to be there, and he parks the car in. Not MY car, but the car of a
friend who had permission to park there. So I get a call from my friend
who knows the previous story and says "your retard friend has parked me
in". I call Pony, and explain his faux pas, and he says in an impatient
tone "can you tell her I'll be there in 5 minutes? I'm a bit busy." In
response to my not-so-subtle question of "Why the hell can't you at
least SMS me when you park in my space uninvited?", he says: "I was only
going to be there for 5 minutes, but I lost track of time. An emergency
came up and I couldn't get away."
He turns up, doesn't apologise to to my friend, and drives off. I mean
WTF.
